The building is at the foot of a feudal mound, seat of many fiefs, in the heart of the district of the Illustrious of the Renaissance, backed by the fortifications. This hotel was built around 1784 for the Lépinay de Beaumont family. This building marks a break with its neighborhood. To a plot of small cobblestone houses, tiled roofs, the sponsor has heard a new order: the colossal order. The architect will play with constraints and perspectives to highlight a powerful facade, in a small area, while masking the imposing pavilion roof covered with slate. The building became a factory for much of the 20th century, before returning home in 1999 thanks to the Malraux Law.
