Possibly dating back to the 12th century, the Motte-Glain castle was gradually rebuilt during the 15th century. A magnificent residence, the castle forms a Breton home to the north, and French to the west, recalling its very border nature. Between the local schist and the Angevin tuffeau, the castle is found between Brittany and Anjou, recalling its complex history and issue of prestigious sponsors.
