Antenna Open House

It is time to come and discover an incongruous site belonging to the industrial heritage of the Redon sector: the former maritime telegraph radio station of Sévérac which revolutionized the communication of large commercial ships around the world. Hidden behind rows of trees, the site is best known to locals for its holiday center activity over the past 60 years. Today, 21 people, adults and children have come together to develop a collective place of activities and habitats.
For a year now, market gardening, an equestrian center, a hackerspace, a mobile bakery, a wood workshop, a dance studio... We organize or host shows, concerts, screenings, apprentice cooks, systema courses, artistic residencies, choral meetings, various meetings and other initiatives around the forest and biodiversity.
The visits will take place from 14h to 18h (last departure of visit at 17h). They offer a stroll through the site, both in the forest and in some buildings to share the story of the unusual adventure of this place. Visits led by the inhabitants who occupy it today and continue to write its history.
The opportunity also to exchange around an afternoon snack!

L'Antenne is the new name of a collective place of activities and housing since its acquisition in 2022\. Built in 1935, the site housed the Sévérac transmitter station which was the most powerful in the metropolis and allowed large commercial vessels to communicate with the world through TSF. In 1959, the site became a holiday centre in Avea-la Poste until 2021\. Today, the remains of this original history can be seen in the technical buildings that housed the dynamos and radios. The latter coexist with the infrastructures of the holiday center and the new facilities of the collective place under construction: gardening, horse riding, groups reception... So many adventures that will be the object of the visits.
