La Chesnaye

Small rural seigneury of the late seventeenth century built by Charles Bailly whose architect is certainly Siméon GARANGEAU. Engineer of the King who made career alongside VAUBAN he was known as one of the most brilliant architects of his time. La Chesnaye is a small lesson in pure classical Louis XIV style architecture. Rather well preserved and patiently restored.
