«UCO opens its reserves»: Visit of the reserve of ancient scientific instruments and exhibition on the scientific heritage of UCO
This year, during the European Heritage Days, «UCO opens its reserves», the opportunity to discover the collection of ancient scientific devices! Consisting of about 1850 instruments, this collection is largely derived from UCO laboratories, whose first acquisitions coincide with the opening of the University and its Faculty of Science in 1877. The collection now includes ancient instruments (1840 to 1950) and contemporary instruments (1950 to the present day) from various disciplines.
Tours are free of charge, subject to availability. Reception takes place in the lobby of the Jeanneteau building (entrance via 6 rue Merlet de la Boulaye)
Also to be discovered in the reception hall, animation by the students of the ANaturAE association around Robert Corillion, professor who marked the teaching of botany at the UCO in the twentieth century.
