To respect the wish of his deceased wife, the Duke of Brittany François II decided in 1469 to found this chapel in the suburb of Richebourg. In the 19th century, after having served as a locksmith workshop and then as a fodder park, the chapel was bought by the diocese and took the name of Immaculate Conception.
