Chapelle Sainte Anne
- Hirunda (15h & 16h45)
Duo from the vocal meeting of two singers, one night, at the edge of a forest. One carries his voice and his wild lyricism on foot from village to village, the other is a passer of French or Portuguese songs in the streets of the city. Together they become Hirunda and offer an overview of multiple sounds and languages where classical, popular and traditional songs meet. Their voices intertwine to the sound of a guitar, a ukulele, a shruti box or instruments collected here, there, everywhere! - Vox Atlantis Men’s Choir (16h & 17h30)
The Nantes men’s choir Vox Atlantis was founded in 1996 by a group of twenty friends, singing for pleasure and a cappella. It has evolved today, exploring an eclectic repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary, from here and elsewhere and in several languages. The choristers are above all motivated by the joy of coming together and sharing their passion for harmonised songs for men’s choirs.
Our Lady of the Rosary
- Duo Riyaz Karo (15h & 16h45)
Travel around Khayal music, from northern India, born from the cross-influences of Hindu temples and Arab-Persian cultures. This rich art of a system based on improvisation around "Ragas" (melodic frames), depicts the feelings of the soul, the seasons, the moments of day and night, in a spontaneous and progressive musical dialogue between the soloist (sitar) and the accompanist (percussion). - Duo Simon & Geoffroy (16h & 17h30)
These two have shared multiple musical projects and stages from around the world for more than two decades (within Mukta, OLH Acoustic, Souffle des terroirs, Didier Squiban Sextet, Krystal Mundi, Naoned Memories...). We find them together on nearly twenty albums. Their repertoire of compositions tinged with lyricism and poetry is inspired by a melodic modal jazz imbued with world cultures.
Chapel ND of Tous Joies
- Salut Brassens - Joel Favreau and Olivier Boisdron (15h & 16h45)
Joël Favreau, singer-songwriter, accompanied great French song artists on guitar. Accompanied by Olivier Boisdron on the accordion, they revisit works by Brassens in a musicality that invites to the party and radiates. - Mze Shina (16h & 17h30)
MZE SHINA means «inner sun» in Georgian. Created in 1997, the ensemble is dedicated to the repertoire of Georgian polyphonic songs. Specialists of this music still poorly known in Europe, this vocal quartet aims to discover a unique repertoire that was declared Head of Works of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2001. Their sacred repertoire includes songs from the pre-Christian era related to rituals such as hymns to the sun or to nature.
