Self-visit exhibit:
The duo of photographers Jérôme Blin and Gaëtan Chevrier will be welcomed in 2023-2024 on the territory in residence around heritage. Entitled The source (provisional title), they will develop a 4-hand work around the theme of water. Guided by the rivers of the Cher and the Don and by the slow movement of the walk, they will cross spaces (natural landscapes, architectural heritage...) to collect images. Before entering the residency, they presented their exhibition La Janais, from the invitation of the gallery Le Carré d'Art in Chartres de Bretagne in 2018, where they were interested in the industrial history of the city. They thus highlighted the sociological, urban and environmental aspects following the establishment of the Citroën factory (which later became PSA) in 1960 on its territory, Lieudit La Janais.

From the 5th to the 16th century in the canton of Moisdon la Rivière and on several sites around Châteaubriant, iron ore is exploited for direct production of iron in small charcoal stoves scattered in the forests covering the country. An exhibition on the history of iron mining from 1668 to 1868 is set up in the coal hall.
