The exhibition «Figures de pub» is devoted to the figures of advertising in Nantes and in the department from the end of the nineteenth century until the interwar period (1870-1940). Nantes and the Loire-Atlantique have an important industrial past that has marked the collective memory. This is why the Departmental Archives propose a playful and general public exhibition around the advertising figures of the Loire societies. These figures, some of which are still well known, cross industrial history and artistic creation.
From the cook Amieux to the canteen Cassegrain, from the Renown Lefèvre-Utile to the Breton of BN, the industrialist and the advertiser use unpublished or common images highlighted here through original sources preserved in the Departmental Archives.
This year, in Thouaré-sur-Loire, place to culinary pleasures around the theme "Gourmet heritage".
