Château du percher
Le Percher, 49500 Saint-Martin-du-Bois
- Maine-et-Loire
- Pays de la Loire
The castle was probably built by Simon de Tinténiac, squire Tranchant of King René between 1495 and 1510\. The estate passes to Bautru who also owned Serrant and Plessis Macé. Acquired in 1749 and resold in 1752, the estate has been transferred to the same family until now, and the castle was restored around 1850\. Consisting of two main buildings with dormers and stone mullions, the castle has a chapel with buttresses and a flamboyant ogive vault lit by lancet windows and stained glass windows recently restored.
