Come and discover this vast 14th century complex (palace and domain) probably built for Clement VI. In the 17th century it became the hotel of the Marquis de Montanègues and is attributed to the architect Royer de la Valfenière.
Despite later remodelling, it retains an orderly facade and a large central void staircase and stone balusters, as well as the tower-door and the remains of the large medieval hall.

In 1661, on the site of the livery of Canilhac, François de la Valfenière built for the Marquis de Montanègues this hotel which had an extraordinary Italian garden, of which remains a monumental fountain. The hotel was bought in 1694 by the nuns of Saint Elizabeth who transformed it into a school and hospice. Managed by successive religious orders, the hospice has remained until today and is the current center of long stays Doctor Paul Gache.
