The great temple of Vauvert was designed by Charles Durand, engineer and architect of Nîmes. Planned in 1810 and received in 1817, the temple of Vauvert is a hemicycle construction with a large porch, a colonnade with four columns, a vestibule decorated with two columns in antis. Inside, an Ionic colonnade follows the background wall that envelops the hemicycle. The original design of the building led the Regional Historical, Architectural and Ethnological Heritage Commission, which met on November 24, 2011, to request its classification as a Historic Monument.
