Built in two successive campaigns between the beginning of the 14th and 15th centuries, the church, in Gothic style with a Latin cross, consists of a nave with a transept preceding a rectangular choir. The complex, covered with vaults on a ribbed arch, originally had a vault room with a chimney, the remains of which remain above the north arm of the transept. It houses three magnificent baroque altarpieces made by the workshop of Jean Tournier from Gourdon (1647-1721). These works in polychrome wood and gilded with leaf, are dedicated to God the Father and the crucifixion (choir), Saint James (south chapel), and the Virgin Mary (north chapel). The painting «The Holy Women» by Jobbé-Duval, gift of Napoleon III to the commune, represents, in a striking shortcut, only the figures of Mary and Mary Magdalene at the time of the miraculous vision of the empty tomb.

Built in two successive campaigns between the beginning of the 14th and the end of the 15th century, the Gothic-style building with a Latin cross plan consists of a nave barred by a transept preceding a rectangular choir. The complex, covered with vaults on ribbed arches, originally had a vault room with a chimney, the remains of which remain above the north arm of the transept.
The work, apparently interrupted by the Hundred Years' War, resumed in the second half of the fifteenth century as indicated by the nave and the two lateral chapels forming transept. The building was then treated with simplicity. Only the warheads of the vaults, profiled with simple chamfers (a chamfer designates a flat surface, obtained by filing the edge of a room at 45 degrees) are resting on lamp-ends sculpted with faces; while the arch of the west portal begins on two units representing the portrait of a man and a woman.
