The exhibition explores the theme of protection around a hundred works and objects, some present in the permanent course and others specially out of the reserves for the occasion. This vast subject which crosses religion, spirituality and superstition, invites to a transversal discovery of the collections.
From individual or collective protection, from amulets to ex-votos to reliquaries and other objects with protective or magical powers, the exhibition brings together objects from different eras and cultures that reveal how the search for protection against the perils of this world and the beyond is a universal quest.
