Discover the medieval center, the church and the castle of this village on the edge of the Rhone
For the European Heritage Days, follow the guide to discover the heritage of Aramon, its church, its castle (esplanade and weapons room) and its park. Exceptionally, some mansions will open their doors.
Formerly closed by 8 doors and surrounded by walls whose northern part remains under the castle, the historic center of Aramon rehabilitated for more than 20 years, is visited by entering to the West by the door of Montfrin (eighteenth century) opening onto rue Pitot which crosses the village from West to East. The church Saint-Pancrace (12th-17th century) borders it, erected on the site of a Gallo-Roman cemetery, surrounded by mansions dating from the 15th to the 18th centuries, some of which will be opened exceptionally.
The visit ends on the esplanade of the castle with a visit to the Salle d'Armes and access to the Mediterranean park.
This guided tour is offered by the volunteers of the Friends of Saint Pancrace, the Friends of the Castle and the OCPA.
