In the cave of Montgrillet, an incredible discovery was made: a remarkably well preserved cave lion skull. A first study by paleontologists Jean Baptiste Fourvel and Nicolas Lateur dated this skull to about 700,000 years during the Pleistocene period. Chantal and Robert from the association «Serre et Calades» are delighted to share with you this fascinating and surprising discovery made by Mr Constant.
