This collegiate church is a majestic monument in Baroque style, designed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Franque between 1734 and 1744. The church has an impressive convex façade with an exemplary stereotomy and is built according to a Latin cross plan. The imposing dome, located at the crossing of the transept, rises to nearly 30 meters thanks to pendants. A remarkable feature of the church is a Romanesque frieze dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, integrated into the east wall of the bell tower. It represents the Last Supper and is the only vestige of the ancient Romanesque church. Inside, you can also admire sumptuous marble marquetry furniture, including the high altar, the pulpit and the baptismal font. These pieces were made by Dominique Fossaty’s studio in Marseille. The opening of the collegiate church is proposed by the Confrérie de la sainte Marie-Madeleine, allowing visitors to discover this architectural and artistic jewel.

A majestic monument in Baroque style, this collegiate church was designed by architect Jean-Baptiste Franque (1734-1744). The church, with its impressive convex façade and exemplary stereotomy, is built on a Latin cross plan. Its high dome on pendants, at the crossing of the transept, rises to almost 30 meters. A Romanesque frieze (12th and 13th century), incorporated into the east wall of the bell tower, is the only vestige of the ancient Romanesque church. It represents the Last Supper. It is also possible to notice a rich furniture in marble marquetry: high altar, pulpit, baptismal fonts, made by the workshop of Dominique Fossaty of Marseille.
