The museographic itinerary takes place around a central atrium where the founding site of the city is evoked: the source of the Fountain. Designed according to a chronological scheme, it has four sections: the Iron Age, the Roman era, the medieval period and the legacy of Antiquity. The main themes illustrating each period relate to urban planning and public architecture, forms of housing, domestic decor, objects of daily life, economy (agriculture, crafts, trade), testimonies of spiritual life (religions and funerary practices) and to artistic productions. The dissemination of museum content is facilitated by the contextualization of the artifacts exhibited when possible, and by the integration into the museographic journey of diverse digital media implementing the principles of virtual reality and interactivity, while resorting to more classic audio-visual means such as short documentary films or graphic animations.
