For the European Heritage Days, the castle of Rochechouart invites you to a free visit of its exhibition entitled «Make your dream longer than the night».
A tribute to the concept album of the Greek composer Vangelis released in 1972, this title is above all an evocation of the social struggles of the late 1960s. Here it takes on a universal dimension in the form of an invitation to dream collectively about our future. «Make your dream be longer than the night» adopts the form of a large collage of 5 women artists of different generations around some major questions of our time between representation of the body and feminism, quest for identity and definition of a “everyone”.
In the form of a poetic landscape, the exhibition unfolds, addressing dreams and metamorphosis, the representation of language and the definition of our individuality between intimate experience and collective history.
