During the day, come to discover or rediscover the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux through a unique itinerary, specially designed for the fortieth edition of the European Heritage Days.
Saturday, September 16, 2023: the Opéra national de Bordeaux is at the initiative of an unprecedented performance, conceived as a route in different places of the city and which will take place from 6pm to 9pm on several remarkable Bordeaux stairs.
For an evening, music in all its forms will take over the magical spaces that are the stairs: monumental stairs, secret stairs, double-revolution stairs… They will become real resonant spaces to host different forms of music (classical music, electronic music, improvised music).
The choir of the Opéra national de Bordeaux, accompanied on the piano by Martin Tembremande, under the direction of Salvatore Caputo, will be positioned on the double entrance staircase of the Grand-Théâtre.
Members of ONBA will intervene on two other stairs: the Rohan Palace with an octet of brass and the auditorium (entrance of the artists, rue du palais Galien) with a cello/double bass duo.
Several other stairs of the city will be invested with the help of students of the pole of teaching of music and dance, of SCRIME (Studio of Creation and Research in Computer Science and Experimental Music), of the master’s degree JAVA, of the school of music of Talence...
