Artifacts in the landscape, water towers disturb us, shake our perception, intrigue with their forms, stir our curiosity, arouse our imagination and enliven our memories… Led by the architects of the Groupe des Cinq, the exhibition aims to make you raise your eyes to the sky and (re)discover the architectural heritage of Aquitaine right at your feet… Imagined as an invitation to dream, everyone. e will be invited. e, through an ambulatory journey, to live a journey sometimes initiatory, sometimes fantastic, to discover the fascinating architectural heritage of the water castles of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, and in particular the water tower «à la Gloriette», Le Corbusier’s first building in France, in 1917. A guided tour of the exhibition: «Là-eau» is proposed in order to sensitize the young public to architecture and heritage, which will be oriented according to the age of the participants and to agree with the teacher.
Examples of themes: - Funny names, funny shapes!
Champagne cork, mushroom, hourglass… Water towers have as many names as there are shapes!

At a time when refrigerators did not exist, this industrial hangar built in 1909 was used to store ice cakes, which supplied merchants and private individuals in the city of Bordeaux. In 1950, a wooden frame purchased at Château Fieuzal, Grand Cru des Graves in Léognan, replaced the old metal frame. Jean de Giacinto saved this hangar from destruction and rehabilitated the place in 2002: he kept his function as an exhibition space around a greenhouse inside the warehouse hosting a workspace for two architectural agencies as well as the association Groupe des Cinq.
The Groupe des Cinq is a cultural association that supports contemporary art and works to safeguard the architectural heritage of Aquitaine. He is active in the field of production, exhibition, dissemination, promotion of contemporary art and the promotion of artists.
