Free - from 5 years. 5.50 € child between 5 and 12 years. 7.50 € adult. On registration. The majority of the visit is done outdoors. The appointment of the visit is made at the Place d'Armes, in the citadel.

The guided tour of the citadel by the underground is a visit to discover the defense system set up by Vauban. A first part of the visit takes place outside to understand how the lock of the estuary allowed to control the passage on the Gironde. The second part goes through the underground to understand the system of withdrawal of soldiers in the citadel in case of attack from the campaign.
