The Beissat Bridge is a 13th century Gothic building, listed as a Historical Monument by decree of 23 November 1970\. The earliest mention made on this bridge is the reference to a 1470 transaction involving neighbouring mills. A toll on this bridge, probably in force for a long time, was closed in 1660.
The work once linked Bellac to the Dorat. It consists of four arches, the middle of which is semicircular and the other three in a pointed arch. The piles are very wide and the profile in donkey back. The spurs have a sharp sharp angle. In 1567, the company of Monsieur de La Messelière broke the bridge to stop the Huguenot army. It is certainly at this period that the semicircular arch is redone.
