Urban walk: «à Loret» walk of a neighborhood
Located to the northeast of the town, the neighbouring districts of Loret and Plaisance each have a singular and altruistic history. If the Loret Park is marked by its wine past, its primary vocation was to be intended for the development of children by the successive creations of an airy center, an outdoor school and a leisure center. Since 1950, thousands of children have benefited from the environmental quality of the place (first in Loret and then in Triboulet). From Bordeaux to Cenonnais, the estate is now sporting colours with the Elodie Lorandi football and aqualudic complexes.
Close to the Chartreuse du Loret, behind the castle of Serre, stand the pavilions of the city Plaisance, baptized in 1954. At the time, the members of the ACAP (Association Cenonnaise pour l'Accession à la Propriété) did not count their hours. They actively assist in the servicing of the land and the construction of their future housing. Mutual aid is strength and each family brings its stone to the building and makes Plaisance one of the first Cenon neighborhoods.
From the Chartreuse to the Loret meadows, from football fields to the Joseph Labat stadium and the Place des Cèdres, discover neighbourhoods inhabited by the Cenonnais values of nature, sport, mutual aid and friendship.
