On December 1, 1968, an episode of the famous television series «Chefs d'oeuvres en Péril» by Pierre de Lagarde, was devoted to the castle of Hautefort. A few months earlier, on 30 August 1968, the castle was devastated by a fire that destroyed the central dwelling. The show shows the ruins of the castle. It contains interviews with the Baroness de Bastard, the owner of the castle, demonstrating her determination to save it, as well as testimonials of support from many residents of Hautefort.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, come and participate in a screening, within the castle, of this film retracing the history of the castle of Hautefort!
