The National Union of Combatants of Lacanau proposes an exhibition on the External Operations of France (OPEX): their definition, the legal framework, the missions, as well as the life of the soldier and his family.
The abbreviation «Opex» means external operations: it is the interventions conducted by the French armies outside the national territory, in a country in crisis or at war, as well as in the air and sea spaces. In addition to the traditional armies (Land, Air, Navy), the gendarmerie and other directorates and services of the Defense can also participate.
Come and discover a piece of history of these «Opex», incarnated and presented by members of the UNC Lacanau, around the war memorial of Lacanau-ville, from 10am to 5pm. This exhibition will be an opportunity to pause for a moment before this symbol of the living heritage of Canaan memory.
