«Mille et un Orient» (until December 10) is available in 2 universes, offering an invitation to travel. «The East of Painters» highlights the fascination of the West for the East in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. For its part, «Eternal Sleep on the Nile» immerses you in the Egyptian collections of the museum, with the highlight of a mummy, loaned by the Louvre.

First museum created in Dordogne in the XIXth century, Maap proposes you an amazing journey in the universe of artistic creation, of Périgord in China via Africa and Oceania (7th collection of France). Prehistoric works (4th collection of France), ancient and medieval reflect the wealth of the history(story) of Périgord. Section Fine Arts, sculptors and French painters are placed next to Italian, Flemish and Spanish artists. Local earthenwares are next(go alongside) to chinas of China and of Japan.
