Come and celebrate two memorable anniversaries in 2023: the 40th anniversary of the European Heritage Days and the 100th anniversary of the seaside resort of Hossegor.
Immerse yourself in the event «100 years, 100 works», at the sporting casino of Hossegor and discover the historical interest of the place, its remarkable scenic space and its ability to sublimate our movements and our creations. From 2:30 pm, on Saturday and Sunday, for two hours, come and explore the architecture of the site and be amazed by the spectacle of sport. Let yourself be carried away by the mysteries of plastic creation and be enchanted by music, inspired by nature.
The Hossegor Sporting Casino is a choice venue for exhibiting 100 works on the original Hossegor landscape. The 98th work will be done by school children as part of the “Look Up” project. The 99th work will be created in a participatory way on Saturday . Finally, the 100th work, realized on Sunday, will be co-created by all the actors of the European Heritage Days, supervised by the creator . A professional boxing instructor will be present to show you the authenticity of the French boxing club of Hossegor, the last club to occupy the premises. After the planned restoration of the Sporting Casino, the club will sit in the historic gym of the site. A demonstration of the know-how and history of this historically symbolic sport will be offered.
During the event, you will have the chance to meet exciting personalities, Jérôme Lamolie, director of Hexagone Groupe and president of Hossegor’s French boxing club; Thibault Dapremont, bookseller and musician; Anne Blayo , essayiste ; Marjorie Courtiau, instru instrumentiste ; Virginie Tourrilhes, historian and scientific advisor; and Jean G. Dubernat, visual artist and cultural mediator.
