Naturalistic collections require technical expertise. The inventory, the preparation or the conservation represent just as much knowledge and practices in constant evolution, transmitted and enriched since generations. Led by the Museum’s collections manager, the interactive workshop will be enriched with a projection and objects from the collections.

Located on the natural area of the Ansot plain, the Bayonne Museum of Natural History is a witness to the past and present biodiversity of the region and part of the world. It is the only museum in France to be installed in the heart of a natural space, in the heart of living.

Access
Access from the bridge of the white bridge in gentle mobility (on foot, by bike, etc.). Allow 15 minutes of walk on the natural site to arrive in front of the Maison des Barthes. Bus and parking at the place called La Floride.
