The association of Basque dances Garaztarrak offers a small show place de la mairie! Basque dances are a very important part of Basque culture and the basis of its folklore. Each historical territory, or province, has its own peculiarities. Each village has its own dance that it usually performs during its main festivals or during festivities such as carnivals, very present in the seven provinces. Some of them are very old, their origins lost in the mists of time, others are more or less modern arrangements of traditional dances, and some are new choreographies on popular bases. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, come and discover this tradition and this ancestral art.

Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, also known as the Pays de Cize, is the region of Lower Navarre that revolves around the village of Saint-Jean-Pied-Port, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France
Bordered by the Spanish border on one side and the valley of Saint-Etienne de Baïgorry on the other, this region is crossed by the road to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle and the GR 10\. It is also the country of the PDO Irouléguy, whose vineyards can be admired on a terrace on the mountainside.
