Built in 1882 at the request of John Pennington-Mellor, a wealthy merchant, this vast Anglo-Norman mansion, with its luxurious and refined interior decor, is linked to the British enthusiasm for the Basque coast in the 19th century. Became a «family holiday village» in 1985, the domain is classified as Historical Monuments since 1999.
