The Grand Parc district is a unique area located in the heart of Bordeaux. It has many assets to value because tomorrow it must make the link between the neighborhoods of the North of Bordeaux and the city center. It can become «this» district of Bordeaux where we live differently.
In 2011, the City and its partners Bordeaux Métropole, Aquitanis, InCité, the CDC Habitat and the Bordeaux Nord Aquitaine Polyclinic have decided to launch an urban study with a view to establishing a coordinated action plan to improve the functioning of the district and improve its development.
This action plan took the form of a “guide plan” validated in March 2014 and updated in June 2016.
The project focuses on four areas:
• Improve the readability of public spaces and facilitate gentle pedestrian and bicycle travel through a new network of walkways connecting neighbourhood facilities with transport and outlying neighbourhoods • Enhance the attractiveness of facilities around major public spaces such as
