The Ham Waste Recovery and Treatment Ecopole, operated by the SPEN (Veolia Group), is a reference facility for waste management in the Cotentin. Since its creation, the site has developed collection, sorting, recovery and treatment services for household and industrial waste. In 2022, it acquired a new biomethane production unit to be able to inject biogas from the degradation of the waste collected on the site into the GrDF network.
