The church of Saint-Loup dates from the 12th century and represents the only building in the canton that has retained its Romanesque architecture and decor. Built in granite at the time of the Dukes of Normandy, it is characterized, externally, by its Romanesque openings, its bell tower with wooden arrows and its modillons supporting the cornice. The interior is equally rich with classified works: tombstones of the former lords, a 16th century Pieta in limestone, altarpieces of the 17th century, statues of Saint Loup and Saint Gilles, a 17th century wooden tribune, baptismal font with double granite vats from the sixteenth century. Modest building but major for the understanding and testimony of the art of building in the Romanesque era in the Avranchin.
