The Musée de Préhistoire d'Île-de-France, in Nemours (Seine-et-Marne), is a regional museum. It presents the Prehistory of the Parisian region, the first vestiges attesting to the presence of Man (around - 600,000 years) at the end of the Gaulish period (last quarter of the 1st century BC). The building was designed by the architect Roland Simounet, architect of the Villeneuve d'Ascq museum and the Picasso museum in Paris.
