The Delacroix Museum opens its doors until 7pm as part of the European Heritage Days On this occasion, come and discover the new thematic presentation of the Delacroix collections and the arts. A mysterious bridge" that invites you to explore the work of the romantic painter and to go back to the sources of the creative process of one of the greatest artists of the nineteenth century. In the painter’s old apartment, discover how Delacroix made theatre and music a true source of inspiration and admire his portraits that evoke the spectator’s place. In the painter’s studio, the link between literature and painting is highlighted.
The agents of the museum, all passionate and exciting, welcome you throughout the weekend to talk about Delacroix, the arts and the history of the museum, the last place of life and creation of the romantic painter.

Located on Rue de Fürstenberg, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Musée national Eugène-Delacroix is housed in the apartment and workshop where Delacroix moved in December 1857\. Saved in the 1930s thanks to the commitment of great artists and intellectual personalities, gathered around the painter Maurice Denis, this exceptional and singular place becomes an associative museum, then a National Museum in 1971; It has been attached to the Public Institution of the Louvre Museum since 2004\. It is one of the very few workshops of a great artist preserved, in its original layout. The Musée Delacroix brings together a collection of collections related to the French painter - paintings, pastels, drawings, lithographs, as well as an important collection of letters and souvenirs.
