On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Constitutional Council and the Council of State open their doors to you for an exceptional guided tour entitled «Heritage and the Rule of Law». Discover behind the scenes and the history of these two institutions located in the heart of the Palais Royal, through three centuries of French history… The Heritage and Rule of Law guided tour lasts 1h30 and will allow you to discover the Council of State and the Constitutional Council before ending possibly with a free stroll in the gardens of the Royal Palace or the lounges of the Ministry of Culture.

Built for the Cardinal de Richelieu by the architect Lemercier, builder of the Sorbonne, the main body (1634), facing the Louvre, becomes royal residence (Regency of Anne of Austria) then of the family of Orléans from 1661\.
