The Hôtel du Nord is the mythical brewery of the right bank created in 1913 and immortalized in the eponymous film of Marcel Carné (1938) inspired by the novel of the writer Eugène Dabit (1929).
Thanks to a petition led by comedian Jean Claude Brialy, Parisians and Parisians in love with their city, cinema and bistro, the Hôtel du Nord was able to escape the total destruction in 1995 and thus classify its facade to the historical monuments of Paris.
Since then, the dining room has welcomed both film and book connoisseurs and tourists, as well as the inhabitants of the area in a 1920s atmosphere and decor down to the smallest detail. The new owners of the Hôtel du Nord, passionate about the history of this magical place, offer a free guided tour on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
