A major work by Jean Dubuffet, the Closerie Falbala was built between 1970 and 1973 in concrete and epoxy resin on a site near the artist’s former sculpture workshops and represents a surface area of 1610 m2. It surrounds with its winding walls the Villa Falbala, a windowless house designed by Jean Dubuffet to house the Logological Cabinet (1967-1969), the artist’s "chamber of philosophical exercise", a high place of the mind. A major work of the Hourloupe period, Closerie Falbala was declared a Historic Monument in November 1998.
