Located in the heart of the 18th district, the parish of Saint-Paul de Montmartre of Lutheran origin is part of the United Protestant Church of France and is a member of the Protestant Federation of France. Built in 1897 by architect Augustin Rey, the church is in Romano-Byzantine style with geometric and vegetal decorations. The facade in ashlar is animated by numerous arcades. It is surmounted by a bell tower whose slenderness is accentuated by columns. The porch rests on capitals decorated with vine leaves, grape clusters and ivy leaves. The interior of the church is lit by beautiful stained glass windows in Art Nouveau style, with symbolic and vegetal motifs. The wooden panelling of the choir matches the benches and railings of the stands. The nave consists of four bays opened by arches to the right and left overlooking the grandstands and aisles. Above the entrance is a large Merklin organ, used especially for church celebrations.
