After five months of work, (re)discover the Saint-Louis chapel and the backstage of the restoration operation thanks to the mediation of a restorer of the site and a curator of the City of Paris.
The operation, which began in October 2022 and was completed in the spring of 2023, aimed to carry out a complete restoration of the 19th-century wall paintings by Merry-Joseph Blondel (1781-1853), who, since their last restoration in 1939, had become very dirty and degraded.
The structure of the altarpiece and the decorative friezes also benefited from the work of the restorers.
