Commented visit of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in France
The Embassy of the State of Qatar in France opens its doors to the public on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
Come and discover the historic rooms of the Hotel Landolfo-Carcano, which has housed the headquarters of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the French Republic since 2007.
Located on the Place de l'Étoile in front of the Arc de Triomphe, designed by architects Jacques Ignace Hittorff and Charles Rohault de Fleury and completed in 1867, the hotel was classified in 1976 as a historical monument.
Built at the time of the Second Empire for Anne-Marie Adèle Caussin, called «Madame de Cassin», the hotel bears the name of the Marquis Landolfo Carcano whom Madame de Cassin married in 1889. The building reflects the architectural eclecticism and decorative richness of the time.
