The Prehistoric and Geological Youth Association of France (JPGF) of Villiers-le-Bel carried out archaeological excavations in anticipation of the Ysieux valley archaeosite project in the village of Fosses throughout the summer. They present the unpublished results of their latest discoveries.

On the occasion of the construction of subdivisions during the 1990s, the association Jeunesse préhistorique et géologique de France (JPGF) de Villiers-le-Bel and subsequently the Musée national des arts et traditions populaires (today MuCEM) have uncovered a hundred pottery workshops in this valley. The unique remains of this activity, including a 13th-century potter’s kiln, are the heart of a development project and will soon be available to the public, accompanied by reconstructions to better understand this activity.
