Château de Bourron

The park of the castle of Bourron, closed by walls, deploys its 40 hectares of lawn and wood, in the extension of the forest of Fontainebleau. It reveals some surprises: hidden behind the small house, the romantic source of Neolithic times called Saint-Sévère source that gives birth to the canal; the statue of Ceres that closes the northern parterre, that of Saint Joseph by Fernand Py under the forests and the house of Artagnan. But the major axis of this French-style park remains the great perspective, driven to the south by the canal and the linden alleys that gives the Château de Bourron all its grandeur. Site added to the inventory in 1926 and classified since 1971 as historical monuments.
