La vie comme elle vient (1h38), directed by Gustavo Pizzi, produced by Tatiana Leite and starring Karine Teles (also co-screenwriter of the film), tells the story of Irene, who lives with her husband Klaus (Otávio Müller) and his four sons in the Rio de Janeiro area. Between the failed plans of her spouse and the problems of her sister Sônia (Adriana Esteves), Irene bends over backwards to help everyone and take care of her children. But it is when her elder Fernando (Konstantinos Sarris) is invited to play handball in Germany, that she will face her biggest challenge, the farewell before the hour.
The film’s first world release took place at the Sundance Festival in 2018. He participated in the Rotterdam Film Festival’s Voices selection, won the Best Film Award at the Malaga Film Festival, the Luso-Brazilian Festival of Santa Maria da Feira, the Gramado Film Festival and the Brazilian Film Grand Prix, as well as numerous awards for actors and technicians. Acclaimed by critics and the public, La vie comme elle vient, whose original title is Benzinho, has been distributed in more than 26 countries, including France.
ON THE PRODUCER
Tatiana Leite is a producer and festival programmer focused on Brazilian and international auteur cinema. In 2012, she founded the production company Bubbles Project, based in Rio de Janeiro, with which she produced and co-produced 8 feature films, including La vie comme elle vient de Gustavo Pizzi, and Família Submersa, by Maria Alché, which have been featured in festivals like Sundance, the Berlinale and Rotterdam.
Last year she produced Regra 34 by Julia Murat, who won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. This year, she will present Puán, by Maria Alché and Benjamin Naishtat, in competition at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
She has been part of the jury of international festivals such as Rotterdam, CPH in Copenhagen, Chicago, Guanajuato, among others. Tatiana Leite has also acted as a producer at various professional meetings: Berlinale Talents, Locarno Open Doors, Rotterdam Lab, EAVE - Puentes Italia, Full Circle Lab and BrLab.

Since 1971, the Brazilian embassy in Paris has occupied a mansion that belonged to the Schneider family, industrialists of the Creusot steel industry. Located in a protected area of a historic monument, within an urban complex listed in the inventory of historic and picturesque sites of Paris, the Hotel Schneider is located on the right bank of the Seine, in the 8th arrondissement, between the Pont de l'Alma and the Pont des Invalides. The building, built in the first half of the 19th century in the eclectic style of the Second Empire, underwent major restoration and expansion work around 1900, commissioned by the Schneider family to Ernest Sanson, the favourite architect of the great families of the time.
