On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Cernuschi Museum celebrates the monumental sculpture of sculpted dragons, returning to the permanent path of the collections after restoration. This element of Japanese architecture figured prominently in the room of the Buddha of life of Cernuschi, collector at the origin of the museum. Introduced in the 1930s, it has never been fully exhibited for several decades. After several months of closure, the Buddha’s Hall once again welcomes this spectacular work to its original location in the heart of the museum. Since its opening to the public in 1898, the Musée Cernuschi, the Musée des arts de l'Asie de la Ville de Paris, has brought together nearly 15,000 objects from China, Korea, Japan and Vietnam. A true invitation to travel in the setting of the mansion imagined in the 19th century by Henri Cernuschi, the new tour, inaugurated in 2020, presents a rethought panorama enriched by 5,000 years of Asian art.
