Orchestre Lamoureux

Inauguration concert of the European Heritage Days in Luzarches.
A symbol of French musical heritage, the Lamoureux Orchestra has been transporting its audience since 1881 into a captivating musical universe with the greatest conductors and renowned soloists. Conducted by Hugues Borsarello, solo violinist, the orchestra is freely revealed through a varied repertoire.
On the program of this concert, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous and eagerly awaited interpretation of the «Four Seasons» but also of «The storm at sea» by Antonio Vivaldi. You can also hear the violin sonata «Les Trilles du diable» by Giuseppe Tartini.

About the location

Église Saint-Côme et Saint-Damien
Rue François de Ganay 95270 Luzarches
  • Val-d'Oise
  • Île-de-France
Built on an old building, it was dedicated in the 8th century to Saints Como and Damian, twin brothers, patrons of doctors. Its picturesque aspect is due to the harmonious juxtaposition of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance elements: the Romanesque choir is from the 11th century, the chapel of Saints Como and Damian of the 12th century and the Gothic chapel of the Virgin of the 13th century. The richly decorated portal, designed by the Luzarchois architect Nicolas de Saint-Michel, is typical of the 2nd Renaissance. A large part of the interior furniture evoking St-Côme and Damien (paintings, sculptures,....) recalls the existence of the pilgrimage St Côme-St Damien of the medical professions.
