With around 200 works, the chronological exhibition traces, through the museum’s collections, a history of fashion from the 18th century to the present day through the theme of the body in motion. Echoing the Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024, the Palais Galliera questions the place of clothing in the practice of physical and sports activities, its relationship to the body and movement, as well as the social consequences of its evolution.
