About the location

Église Saint-Sulpice
Rue de l'Église 95750 Chars
  • Val-d'Oise
  • Île-de-France
Built in the 12th century, the church of Saint-Sulpice has several styles: Romanesque outside, Gothic, flamboyant Gothic, Renaissance... The church is classified as a Historical Monument in 1912 and becomes a "mini" cathedral of rural villages. Indeed, the choir is built in 4 floors, a concept that only exists in 5 other French churches. This architecture prefigures the style of Gothic cathedrals such as Notre-Dame de Paris.
