The cathedral of Meaux has undergone several transformations. An attentive look makes it possible to read the complexity of its history and to understand the successive states it has known. Let us discover how the bishops, the canons, the builders and the restorers have given the cathedral of Meaux its present appearance. One can thus recognize the importance of the one that is, with Notre-Dame de Paris, one of the only two Gothic cathedral of Île-de-France. By Mathieu Lours, Architecture and Heritage Historian Paris-Cergy university and researcher at the Ecole pratique des hautes études.
